Toby Mac spent the first 11 years of his career (1989-2000) as one-third of the Christian Trio dc Talk, before launching what has become an extremely successful solo career. Since hitting the road on his own, the native of Fairfax, Virginia has released three studio albums: Momentum (2001), Welcome to Diverse City (2004), and Portable Sounds (2007) and has scored two GOLD albums, six Number One singles, two Grammy nominations and widespread critical acclaim.
Relient K has become known through the years as one of the hardest working Christian Rock/Punk outfits in the industry. The Canton, Ohio quintet has released five studio albums, with their sixth release scheduled for this fall. The band, known for its extensive touring, has also received numerous awards including a Grammy Award nomination in 2003 for Best Rock Gospel Album and two Dove Awards.
B. Reith (Brian Reith) is an up-and-coming Christian Hip-Hop/Pop musician who is signed to Toby Mac’s label, Gotee Records. He carries the title of “singer, rapper, songwriter and producer” and is widely seen as a standout rookie in each category. His debut EP, The Forecast, was released on Gotee Records this past March.
“It’s amazing when God truly gives someone a gift,” Toby Mac says on B. Reith’s MySpace website. “Brian is just naturally gifted from God vocally and his lyrics, when they hit tape, they sort of just ease into your heart.”
Meanwhile, Stephanie Smith is another up-and-comer, who’s singing and songwriting ability is already garnering critical acclaim within the Contemporary Christian Genre. Smith is also signed to Gotee Records, and her first studio album, Not Afraid, was released in December of 2008.
