The primary lot for accessible parking spaces is located immediately west of Beaver Stadium. Access to this lot is available off of University Drive. For the convenience and safety of all Jordan Center guests, pickup will be delayed until pedestrian traffic is cleared on Curtin Road at the end of all events. *See map Entrances. All of the main gates, Gates A-D, are accessible entrances that are equipped with automatic door openers for convenience.

The Office of Physical Plant has notified the Parking Office that Curtin Road will be closed in the area of Beaver Stadium beginning Monday December 9 through approximately February 6, 2014.

The closure is for the staging of a large crane being used to replace the Beaver Stadium scoreboard. The actual section of the road to be closed is the section of Curtin Road from Porter Road to a point just East of the Curtin Road entrance to Lot 44.

The Curtin Road access to Lot 44, and the Jordan Center ticket pick up area will remain open throughout the project. This section of Curtin Road will be open for access to parking and transit traffic only. All other vehicles must follow the detour. Detour signage will be placed to direct all through traffic to use Park Avenue, or Hastings Road. Through traffic on Curtin Road or Dauer Road will be prohibited.

To create a safety zone for all lift activity during this project, about 90 parking spaces in the top section of Lot 44 (Jordan East) will be blocked. All efforts will be made to re-open as many of the 90 spaces as possible during major events.

Also note that the sidewalk on both sides of this section of Curtin Road will be closed.

CATA buses will be re-routed, stop adjustments will be as follows:

  • Blue Loop - Curtin Road stop closed, passengers should use the Porter Road stop.
  • Green Link - Curtin Road closed eastbound (away from campus), will stop at Porter Road, then Curtin Road westbound (toward campus).
  • HP, and NV routes will experience a routing detour only, with no restriction to regularly scheduled stops on Curtin Road. Complete routing details can be found at www.CATABUS.com.

Please note that this closure will increase traffic congestion on other roadways, so please allow extra time to reach your destination.

If there are any questions, please contact the University Parking Office at 814-865-1436.
